Rotterdam

I liked the tranquility of Rotterdam. It was another one of these cities that was easily walkable in a day, and better yet, if you had a bicycle you could use one of the 'cycle roads', which were cycle paths carved into the ground. A lot of the time these paths would get more traffic than the actual roads, so you had to watch where you were walking. 

There were plenty of parks and some nice views across the water, and of course there were a few coffeeshops knocking around.

 

Amsterdam

Amsterdam was a beautiful city. To me it was like walking in on a party that was beginning, just as you were arriving. There's plenty to do in and see in Amsterdam, besides the obvious, and you don't have to walk far to escape the crowds and get a piece of scenery to yourself.
